Course Description | A rigorous introduction to probability theory. Topics covered include probability spaces and measures, Borel-Cantelli lemma, zero-one laws, conditional probability, Bayes rule, independence, random variables and distribution functions, random vectors and multivariate distributions, expectation, important distributions, characteristic functions, conditional distributions, transformations of random variables, probability and expectation inequalities, laws of large numbers, central limit theorem. |
